Chess Club

The chess club at CHPS is very popular and every Wednesday former principal Mr Gelagin volunteers his time to coach the school team. Mr G has been a volunteer at the school for 10 years which is a fantastic effort and we are very fortunate to have him here. If you are interested in playing chess or just want to watch, come over to the library on Wednesdays at lunch time and join in.

Where is Belgium?

Aryan, Chris and Sarah were discovering where all our blog visitors came from when they started plotting all the countries. Mrs Booth’s father came from Amsterdam and her mother from Friesland, both of these places are in the Netherlands, so she was trying very hard not to tell them where Belgium was 🙂 But they do know now that it is not in America!

We are up to nearly 50 countries now and the students are amazed that so many people are interested in what they do. Mrs Booth thinks this is the best way to teach the students geography 🙂
