Saving the world, one oil spill at a time!

Year 2 spent Term 3 working very hard on solving a very real and very big problem….OIL SPILLS! Year 2 teachers and students researched some past oil spills that have created horrendous damage to the environment and cost millions of dollars. They wanted to try and come up with a solution to this problem by learning more about materials and working together in teams to design and create a contraption that could help.

Take a learning at their awesome learning journey!

So much thinking, planning, hypothesising, experimenting and concluding happening, all whilst thinking creatively and critically to design and construct these wonderful contraptions!! Congratulations Year 2, on a fabulous term of work! Looking forward to seeing what your creative minds come up with next!

We are very proud of our creations! We had fun experimenting with various materials and predicting what would happen each time. We can’t wait to see what we will come up with for our next STEAM project.
